All eyes turned to the property sector in today's trading where we saw most of the property heavyweights climbed higher, with Capitaland added 16 cents or percentage wise a hefty 3.48%. Not forgetting warrants plays, we saw its call warrants growing at a market average of 21.98%. Well of course, this move upwards was largely boosted by strong optimism and robust outlook in the property segment. So based on the fact that the counter has netted heavy gains at this current moment, is this a time to hope on and ride the wave?
Notice that on the warrants volume turnover chart , on August 1st there was a sudden influx of Capitaland warrants changing hands amongst traders. After that incident, the underlying soared. Institutional plays on warrants? I'm not sure, but it may be a good indication of further upside prospects.
In comparison of the volume traded on the exchange today, it seems that the index warrants on Nikkei and HSI "closed shop", and here's all the buzz on Capitaland.
